Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and emotionally intelligent Counsellor who can support families navigating marital or interpersonal conflicts. The role involves facilitating structured dialogue, mediation, and counselling sessions to help individuals and families communicate effectively and resolve disputes in a respectful and constructive manner.

The Counsellor will play a vital role in restoring harmony within families and the community, working closely with senior advisors and the organizational leadership to ensure ethical, confidential, and solution-oriented case handling.

This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about community service, emotional wellbeing, and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Counselling & Meditation:

¨ Conduct structured counselling sessions with individuals, couples, and families experiencing marital or interpersonal challenges.

¨ Facilitate open, respectful, and solution-focused discussions between concerned parties.

¨ Guide families in identifying constructive approaches toward conflict resolution and reconciliation.

Case Assessment & Documentation:

¨ Evaluate cases with sensitivity to understand the underlying causes of disputes.

¨ Maintain accurate documentation of counselling sessions, case histories, and progress updates.

¨ Prepare structured case summaries and reports for internal review when required.

Ethical Practice & Confidentiality:

¨ Ensure strict confidentiality while handling sensitive family matters.

¨ Maintain a safe, non-judgmental, and respectful environment for all participants.

¨ Follow professional and ethical standards in counselling and mediation practices.

Coordination & Case follow up:

¨ Work collaboratively with internal teams, senior advisors, and leadership to ensure effective case resolution.

¨ Conduct follow-up interactions with families to monitor progress and provide continued guidance where required.

Community Engagement:

¨ Provide guidance and support to community members seeking help in resolving family disputes.

¨ Promote dialogue-based and compassionate conflict resolution practices within the community.

Qualifications & Experience:

¨ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Family Studies, or related disciplines.

¨ Prior experience in family counselling, mediation, social work, or community engagement will be preferred.

¨ Strong understanding of family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and culturally sensitive counselling practices.

¨ Fluency in Hindi and/or regional languages will be an added advantage.
