As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for a startup based in Ahmedabad, you will play a crucial role in driving pipeline generation for the US market. Your primary responsibilities will include outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and setting up high-quality meetings for the sales team.
- Identify and prospect potential customers through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
- Research accounts and develop targeted outreach strategies.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and buyer personas.
- Schedule qualified meetings and demos for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
- Exceed monthly targets for meetings, SQLs, and pipeline contribution.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance conversion rates.
- Stay informed about product knowledge, competitors, and market trends.
In order to excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an SDR/BDR in a SaaS company, with a strong preference for experience in selling to international markets, particularly the US.
- Proficiency in cold calling, email outreach, and excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc., and sales automation tools such as Apollo, Salesloft, Outreach, etc.
- Ability to handle objections, build quick rapport, and a target-driven mindset with strong negotiation skills.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Experience in selling to startups, SMBs, or mid-market companies.
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics like MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, etc.
- Previous experience working in night shifts or US time zones.
