Reporting to the Audit Committee, the Internal Auditor will provide independent assurance that our regulatory compliance, risk management, governance, and internal control processes are operating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop Internal Audit plan that provides an appropriate balance of coverage of key risks/regulatory compliance in addition to coverage of core processes and strategic objectives. Audit plan will include operational, regulatory compliance, and financial audits.
• Monitor and assess internal controls, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct periodic testing and validation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring documentation is up to date and controls are actually workable in practice.
• Perform regular access and permissions reviews, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties, least-privilege access, and adherence to security policies.
• Evaluate third-party vendor integrations to ensure proper onboarding, monitoring, and post-deployment oversight.
• Support internal control testing and reporting to identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and monitor remediation progress.
• Review and test internal change management and release process, including UAT sign-off, promotion to production, and maintenance of audit trails.
• Build strong relationships with senior management and ensure broader management team is aware of Internal Audit activity, status of audits, management remediation actions, etc.
• Complete audits in a timely manner, to a high quality, and in accordance with Internal Audit plan.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized audit work papers that appropriately document the testing performed.
• Assess audit results and develop meaningful recommendations for improvement which can be effectively implemented by management given the existing business, control risks, and other cost/benefit considerations.
• Prepare audit reports that reflect audit results and remediation plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-6 years of audit experience in professional services and/or specific relevant internal audit industry experience required.
• Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of Internal Audit requirements and best practices, with a preference for candidates holding an Internal Audit qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter, flexible, and resilient under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Deadline driven and capable of working independently.
• Knowledge or background in iGaming industry is an asset.
• Experience in audits of information security compliance and disaster recovery standards is strongly preferred.
