Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services during overnight hours, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, and maintaining the security and integrity of the hotel during nighttime shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and experience in hospitality or customer service environments. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse guest population. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hotel setting with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-day financial reconciliation, including balancing guest accounts, folios, and daily revenue.
- Audit and verify all postings (room charges, payments, adjustments) for accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and distribute daily financial reports to management (revenue, occupancy, ADR, and variance reports).
- Reconcile cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Complete system rollover procedures and ensure the Property Management System (PMS) is accurately updated for the new business day.
- Monitor and maintain hotel security during overnight hours, including guest safety and property surveillance.
- Handle late-night check-ins and early check-outs, ensuring accurate registration and billing.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams by logging overnight issues or service requests.
- Verify room status, availability, and housekeeping reports for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Prepare backup documentation and maintain organized records for audit and review.
- Assist with emergency procedures and incident reporting as required.
- Complete guest check in and check outs efficiently
- Handling reservations, room assignments, process payments
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests and concerns promptly
- Answer and direct phone calls with a professional manner
- Maintain accurate guest records and documentation
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage cash, debit, credit, balancing of lotto daily
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Ensure confidentiality and security procedures followed
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk/night auditor experience preferred
- Experience with hotel reservation systems and POS systems and asset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed and confident under pressure
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Team player, although comfortable working alone
- Basic computer knowledge and administrative skills
- Flexibility to be able to work days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Alberta AGLC lotto, first aid certificate, WHMIS training an asset but not required.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in multilingual or bilingual capabilities preferred
- Experience with front desk operations in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining alertness and professionalism
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
