Job Description
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in Performance & High Availability, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- **Performance Engineering & Optimization:**
- Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, and execution plans.
- Analyze wait events, CPU/memory bottlenecks, and I/O issues to optimize system performance.
- Optimize queries, indexing, partitioning, and PL/SQL for enhanced efficiency.
- Establish and maintain performance baselines to track system performance over time.
- **High Availability & Disaster Recovery:**
- Manage Oracle RAC and Data Guard / Active Data Guard setups for ensuring high availability.
- Conduct disaster recovery drills and failover simulations to test system resilience.
- Handle RMAN backup and recovery strategies to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) standards.
- **Banking Domain & Critical Systems Support:**
- Support high-volume OLTP systems such as Core Banking, Payments, and Treasury operations.
- Handle Sev1/Sev2 incidents, provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and work closely with business, audit, and regulatory stakeholders.
- **Security & Compliance:**
- Implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), encryption, and data masking techniques.
- Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards by managing SSL/TLS and wallet configurations.
- **Automation & Operations:**
- Improve monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and custom tools for enhanced system observability.
- Enhance incident response capabilities and operational efficiency through automation.
Your qualifications should include:
- Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Hands-on experience in AWR/ASH performance tuning.
