Data Scientist Nanded

Requirement: -

• Minimum 5 Years of experience in Data Analytics of similar nature of project.

Experience in Statistical Strengthening Project in Central Government/ State Government or their agencies or international agencies is an added advantage.

• Experience in developing data warehousing.
• Excellent knowledge of designing Enterprise level Architecture (EA).

The Open Group Architecture

Framework (TOGAF) or similar certification will be an added advantage.

• Knowledge of supervising data management workflows, understanding of data pipelines preferably experience in supervising in building data platforms and applications.
• Knowledge of data privacy requirements for data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing or interfacing with technology vendors. As part of this, ability to review the necessary technical documents for quality control and requirements mapping
• Experience in using data science tools to simplify data wrangling, statistical modelling, and visualization tasks.
• Technical experience in various aspects of data science - a creative problem solver with a strong skill in design and problem formulation; data curation; data acquisition, cleaning, and management; data interpretation, analysis; and the presentation and communication of results in an engaging and reproducible manner.
• Technical knowledge of one or more domains of development data such as economic statistics, demographic data, gender and social statistics, or other topics would be an advantage.
• Technical knowledge of one or more distinct data sources and associated methods such as household surveys, administrative systems, geographic information systems, satellite imagery and other sensor data, big data, would be an advantage.
• Excellent working knowledge of modern statistics, scripting, and programming languages such as R/python/power BI and SAS VIYA and associated software libraries is a must. Knowledge of SAS/SPSS is an added plus
• Support in preparation of IT intervention requirements and implementation roadmap
• The Data Scientist will be responsible for supervision of the key ICT interventions under the project including supervising (a) Designing & implementation monitoring of dashboard by leveraging indicators from District Socio-economic Review and SDG District Indicator Framework to consolidated view of fund flow to district and state machinery, (b) Creation of a data dissemination portal and other IT interventions envisaged under the project. (C) Implementation monitoring of existing MIS systems such as MPSIMS, iPAS, BEAMs and GoIs PFMS system
• Help prepare techno functional requirements for Integration with existing application systems
• The Data Scientist will serve as a bridge between MITRA, District Administration, Other departments, vendor, other IT teams and the various teams in Planning Department (including DES and MRSAC) on matters related to data and statistics.
• Support collecting and gathering data from various sources, including databases, APIs, web scraping, and more. They ensure the data is relevant, accurate, and comprehensive in the integrated district dashboard.
• Cleaning and pre-processing data to remove inconsistencies, missing values, and outliers, making it suitable for analysis.
• As a key member of the curation team, build data pipelines for automatic ingestion of data into data repositories of the district dashboard.
• Document all data management processes involved in indicator compilation process
• Help digitize district level data in DES products into appropriate dissemination frameworks.
• Perform quality assurance testing of different district data portals and products to ensure they are working as per defined requirements.
• Implementing statistical and visualization techniques to explore the data and identify patterns, trends, and relationships using data visualization tools.
• Creating new features or modifying existing ones to improve model performance and better capture patterns in the data by using machine learning models to make predictions, classifications, or recommendations based on data.
• Assessing model performance, fine-tuning hyper parameters, and optimizing models to achieve the best possible results.
• Staying up to date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and trends to adapt to changing data and business needs.
• Identifying and addressing complex problems using data-driven approaches and innovative solutions.
