Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinician

$88,130.18 - $100,562.25 annually, which includes a 4 Grid Market Adjustment

Child and Youth Mental Health teams across Northern BC are made up of dedicated professionals working in communities that span vast and diverse geographies. Whether based in a larger northern centre or in more remote areas, our teams are deeply committed to supporting children, youth, and families with flexible, community-connected services.

We work in partnership with Northern Health, school districts and Indigenous organizations to meet local needs with compassion and innovation.

As a CYMH Clinician, you’ll support the mental wellness of children, youth, and families through direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety planning and crisis intervention for ages 0–18. This role is ideal for those who value meaningful client relationships, teamwork, and lifelong learning. Qualifications for this role include:

  • Master’s degree in counselling, social work, educational counselling, clinical counselling, clinical psychology or child and youth care or comparable graduate degree at the master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
  • Minimum of one (1) year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Applicants with 2+ years of experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
  • Applicants who self-identify as having an Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
