Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA/QC Lead to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta. In this role, you will oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for various oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in welding and coating inspections and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage quality control processes on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Perform welding inspections, including reviewing and verifying welding procedures and ensuring adherence to regulatory, code and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct audits, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities.
• Support project schedules by ensuring inspections and quality checks are completed on time.
• Travel to project sites as required to oversee inspections and resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of welding standards, quality control practices and systems, industry codes, documentation, and turnover standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet project demands.
