Position Reporting To

Summary/Objective

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong ERP systems knowledge to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications that integrate with ERP platforms, supporting business operations across finance, supply chain, and operations departments.

Essential Functions

• A strong understanding of the ERP and Financials operational concepts
• Maintaining and developing the NAV ERP platform
• Follow the STA IT coding and programming standards
• NAVISION Development using C/SIDE & C/AL
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or related Java frameworks.
• Proficiency with Hibernate, Spring Data JPA.
• Performing software test with Junit, TestNG etc
• Working very comfortable with MS SQL Server, MySQL.
• Will play a key role in a full life cycle implementation
• Performing system maintenance and configurations
• End user support and training
• The ability to partner with our business stakeholders and collaborate effectively
• Work on projects assigned
• Any other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications

Customer Service oriented. Must be available to work evenings/weekends when required. Must be able to work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment. Demonstrates ownership of assigned responsibilities with a positive self-starter attitude. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to work independently with minimal direction.

Required Education and Experience

5+ years of experience in an IT role, preferably in a medium sized organization with multiple locations

Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Information Technology

Microsoft NAV Developers certification is an asset

Experience implementing and making modifications to Dynamics NAV/Navision

Experience with NAV 2017 C/SIDE, C/AL

Experience customizing the following modules: Financial Management, Inventory, Order Entry and Sales

Experience Navision system Integration with EDI, API etc.

Experience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot Hibernate and Microservices, REST is an asset.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, Version Control is asset

Experience with Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA or Spring Boot with GitHub Copilot is asset

Experience with MS SQL Server (technical and functional)

Driver’s license and own vehicle (Must have)
