Job Summary
The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service workshop. The role involves understanding customer concerns, coordinating with technicians, ensuring timely delivery of vehicles, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Handling:
- Greet customers and understand vehicle issues/requirements
- Provide accurate information on services, timelines, and costs
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
2. Job Card Management:
- Open and prepare job cards with detailed customer complaints
- Ensure proper documentation and service instructions
- Take customer approval before initiating major repairs
3. Coordination with Workshop:
- Communicate job details clearly to technicians
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion
- Follow up on pending jobs and parts availability
4. Estimation & Billing:
- Prepare repair estimates and explain charges to customers
- Ensure transparency in billing
- Cross-check invoices before final delivery
5. Vehicle Delivery:
- Ensure quality check before handing over the vehicle
- Explain work done and charges to the customer
- Handle customer feedback and concerns
6. Customer Satisfaction & Retention:
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index)
- Handle complaints and escalate when necessary
- Promote additional services, accessories, or AMC packages
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer handling and problem-solving ability
- Basic technical knowledge of automobiles
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good coordination and multitasking skills
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in automobile dealership service role (preferred)
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in automobile dealership
- Knowledge of MS Office, DMS (Dealer Management System)
- Customer-centric approach and professional attitude
