Job Description
Located in east Mississauga, our client requires a Senior Brand Manager to cover a 10-12 month maternity leave.
The successful candidate must have CPG experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
Primary responsibilities
- Overseeing the portfolio strategy, ensuring pipeline readiness, and maximizing channel and whitespace opportunities (aligning strategy with leadership in the US and Canada, providing an overview of project management)
- Directing marketing activation for the portfolio (including campaigns, communications, public relations, e-commerce assets, and website updates)
- Leading and coordinating medical marketing initiatives in collaboration with US medical and Canadian trade and regulatory teams (involvement in retailer pharmacy conferences, claims and research activities, and guidance on sell-sheet creation)
- Conducting analysis and monitoring business performance to identify, address, and proactively manage issues and opportunities within the portfolio.
- Recognizing, resolving, and addressing business requirements for the portfolio in conjunction with a cross-functional team that encompasses trade, category, media, sales, regulatory, legal, medical marketing, and innovation.
- Mentoring and developing direct reports while collaborating with broader marketing and consumer engagement teams.
- Participating in and leading all operational model meetings related to the portfolio.
Requirements
- Must possess marketing experience in local markets. Preference will be given to those with a background in consumer health, CPG, or pharmaceuticals.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in local markets is required. Consideration will be given to those is currently at the Brand Manager level.
- Experience in managing people is preferred, though it is not essential.
- The ideal candidate should exhibit a positive, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating a strong can-do attitude. It is also acceptable for the individual to be relatively early in their career, provided they possess a strong inclination for action and a commitment to collaboration aimed at creating impact.
- Someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work setting and values agency, end-to-end ownership, and the ability to make a significant impact on both business and people.
