Veterinary Assistant, Cats Only Animal Hospital

Veterinary Assistant Location: Vancouver, BC Position: Full-time Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Cats Only Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a positive, teamwork-oriented attitude and a personality that delivers exceptional customer service and communication skills. A veterinary assistant certificate would be an asset, but is not a requirement.  This position requires flexibility to work on a rotating schedule; however, it also affords a great work-life balance. Key responsibilities:  Assisting Veterinarians and RVTs with various tasks and treatments Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents Providing compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients Creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients  General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of work area, pet holding areas and common areas  Client care, such as reception, payments and supportive communication Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments  Key attributes:  Exceptional client service skills   Compassion and a nurturing attitude  Ability to remain calm in stressful situations  Ability to adapt to changing situations  Efficient in carrying out assignments independently Takes initiative to complete tasks throughout the day What VCA Canada Offers RRSP Employer 5 % Match Program – saving for your future just got easier!
