Automotive Controller (Multi-Store) – High Performance Culture

Auto Giants Auto Group is looking for a driven, accountable Automotive Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple rooftops.

This is not a “sit back and close the books” role.

This is a leadership position for someone who wants to build, improve, and own the financial performance and reporting structure of a fast-growing dealer group.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Oversee monthly financial statement preparation (FAST, clean, accurate)
• Ensure OEM compliance and reporting standards are met
• Manage and develop the accounting office team
• Own the month-end close process (speed + accuracy is non-negotiable)
• Reconcile schedules and eliminate discrepancies proactively
• Partner with ownership and leadership on financial visibility and decision-making
• Improve processes, systems, and accountability across the accounting department
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Automotive dealership controller experience REQUIRED
• Experience managing multiple rooftops or high-volume store preferred
• Strong understanding of:
• Dealer financial statements
• Schedules and reconciliations
• OEM reporting requirements
• Proven ability to:
• Close books quickly and accurately
• Lead and hold a team accountable
• Identify problems and fix them without being asked
• High level of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail
• Ability and desire to integrate with executive leadership and actively partner with the sales team
• Comfortable working alongside GSMs and desk managers
• Understands how accounting supports and impacts sales performance
• Can communicate financial insights in a way that drives better decisions on the sales floor

Compensation

• $150,000 – $180,000+ (based on experience)
• Performance-based bonus tied to execution and results
• Full benefits package
