About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Representative to join our Launceston branch, working alongside our Operations Supervisor in a small, hands‑on team environment.

This branch services a hire fleet of approximately 250 units and plays a key role in supporting local construction, infrastructure, and trade customers. With only two on‑site team members, this role blends business development, customer relationship management, and operational support.

You’ll take ownership of driving sales growth in the region while actively supporting branch activity when required. Administrative and leadership support is provided remotely from Victoria, so this role suits someone who is confident, experienced, and able to operate with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively grow B2B sales through new business development and existing client account management.
• Maintain strong partnerships with local contractors, builders, and commercial customers.
• Manage hire projects end‑to‑end, ensuring smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Identify market opportunities and local growth potential.
• Support branch operations as required in a small‑team environment.
• Work independently while collaborating with off‑site leadership and support teams.

About You

• Demonstrated maturity and confidence to work autonomously.
• A flexible, “pitch‑in” mindset—happy to support across sales and operations.
• Proven B2B sales and relationship management experience.
• Confidence managing hire or project‑based work end‑to‑end.
• Preference for experience in construction, hire, or a related industry.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence using systems.
