JOB ROLE: Operations Head / Senior Operations Manager
Location: Bhilai / Durg
Organization: Augtech NextWealth
Reporting to: COO / Business Head
Role Type: Leadership Operations & Delivery Excellence
Core Responsibilities:
1. Delivery & Operations Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery for CV & GenAI accounts: image/video annotation, segmentation, bounding boxes, polylines, OCR, VQA, RLHF, prompt evaluation, content labeling, GenAI QA, etc.
- Ensure on-time, on-quality, on-cost delivery across multiple concurrent programs.
- Drive daily/weekly/monthly delivery cadence (WBR, MBR, QBR) with sharp operational metrics.
- Manage ramp-ups, transitions, pilots, and steady-state operations with minimal leakage.
2. Quality Framework & Governance
- Design and enforce robust Quality Frameworks: FTR, Precision/Recall, BQM, Gold Set adherence & Error taxonomy, RCA, corrective & preventive actions
- Build multi-layer QC models (Annotator QC SME Audit).
- Own client audits, certifications, and compliance readiness.
- Continuously improve quality while balancing throughput and cost.
3. People, Productivity & Workforce Scale
- Lead large delivery teams (500 to 1000+ FTEs) including: Team Leaders, QCs, SMEs, Trainers, Managers
- Define role ratios, productivity benchmarks, shift models, and utilization targets.
- Partner with HR & L&D to: Design RTE (Ready-to-Execute) training programs, Reduce time-to-productivity & Control attrition and skill drift
- Build a strong middle layer (TL/AM/SME) for scale stability.
4. Cost, Margin & Unit Economics
- Own account-level P&L hygiene: People cost, IT, infra, overhead allocation
- Drive cost-per-unit optimization without compromising quality.
- Support pricing models with operational realism (effort assumptions, buffers, rework).
- Ensure sustainable margins, especially for Bhilai / Tier-2 Delivery centres.
5. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the single-point delivery owner for key CV & GenAI clients.
- Translate client expectations into clear SOPs, rubrics, and workflows.
- Handle escalations, scope changes, and SLA risks proactively.
- Partner with Sales / Transitions during solutioning & pilot phases.
6. Process, SOP & Continuous Improvement
- Institutionalize SOPs, playbooks, checklists, and trackers.
- Drive Lean / Six Sigma mindset Kaizen, automation assists, error reduction.
- Identify opportunities to: Introduce tool-based efficiencies & Improve annotation accuracy & speed
- Build replicable delivery templates across accounts.
Key Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- 10 - 15+ years of experience in Operations / Delivery Leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience in Computer Vision &/or Generative AI HITL workflows.
- Proven track record of managing large delivery teams with tight SLAs.
- Deep understanding of: Quality metrics, Productivity benchmarking & Workforce scaling
- Strong stakeholder & escalation management skills.
Good-to-Have
- Exposure to Trust & Safety, eCommerce Catalog, AI data services.
- Experience working in hub-and-spoke / distributed delivery models.
- Lean / Six Sigma / Process Excellence certification.
- Experience setting up delivery from Tier-2 / Tier-3 locations.
