Certified Pharmacy Technician (Retail + Compounding + Immunization)
Ashburn Pharmacy – Ashburn, VA
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Ashburn Pharmacy is a growing independent community pharmacy focused on exceptional service, personalized care, and compounding services. We are seeking an experienced, certified pharmacy technician who is extremely friendly, patient-focused, and committed to helping patients find solutions.
This is NOT a typical chain pharmacy environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients and finding ways to say “yes” whenever possible.
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician registration
- National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) REQUIRED
- Retail pharmacy experience REQUIRED
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Strongly Preferred
- Compounding experience (non-sterile)
- Immunization certification OR willingness to obtain
- Independent pharmacy experience
- PioneerRx experience (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Prescription data entry and processing
- Insurance billing and rejection resolution
- Customer service and patient interaction
- Answering phones and assisting patient requests
- Assisting pharmacist with workflow and dispensing
- Non-sterile compounding support
- Immunization workflow support
- Prior authorizations and refill coordination
- Inventory management and ordering
- Medication synchronization and patient outreach
