Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Backend Engineer

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Exp Required: 6-8 years

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in web service development on AWS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture using SNS, SQS, or EventBridge.
• Experience with Git, CICD tools, and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience with AWS SAM or the Serverless Framework.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring and optimizing application performance using observability tools.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
• Build serverless applications and implement authentication and authorization using enterprise APIs.
• Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards.
