We are looking for an experienced React & Node.js Developer who can build high-quality web applications, backend services, APIs, and scalable digital products. The candidate should be comfortable working closely with product, design, backend, frontend, and business teams.

Role Overview

The React & Node.js Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and backend services using React.js and Node.js. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in frontend development, backend API development, database integration, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices.

The ideal candidate should also have exposure to backend/event-driven technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS Lambda, and should be comfortable working in a modern product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Build clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable code.
• Develop responsive user interfaces based on approved designs and business requirements.
• Create and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Work on server-side logic, API architecture, and database connectivity.
• Collaborate with product teams, designers, backend developers, frontend developers, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and security.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve frontend and backend issues.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, validations, routing, and security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and follow standard development practices.
• Work with third-party APIs, integrations, payment systems, notification services, and analytics tools where required.
• Support deployment, production issue resolution, and application maintenance.
• Work with event-driven and cloud-based systems involving Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS Lambda where required.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of total software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in React.js and Node.js development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of React.js, components, hooks, state management, routing, and responsive UI development.
• Experience with Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, middleware, and backend services.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Good understanding of API integration, JSON handling, and backend communication.
• Experience with Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of frontend and backend application architecture.
• Ability to write clean, structured, secure, and maintainable code.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Technical Exposure

• Experience or working knowledge of Apache Kafka.
• Experience or working knowledge of RabbitMQ.
• Experience or working knowledge of AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of microservices-based architecture.
• Exposure to cloud-based applications and serverless workflows.
• Experience with Firebase, push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics.
• Knowledge of secure API communication, authentication flows, JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud deployment, or DevOps workflows will be an added advantage.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, enterprise applications, or workflow automation platforms will be an added advantage.
