Senior Associate/Associate, Corporate Accounting

As an Associate or Senior Associate at Ares Management Corporation, you will play a crucial role in accounting for various revenue streams. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end revenue cycle for the Management Company, from revenue recognition to cash identification and bookings for Management fees, Performance Fees, Admin Fees, and various Other Fees.
• Conducting variance analysis for various revenue streams for senior management review.
• Working on allocation basis for Administration fees to be billed to various funds and managing the Time Certification Survey to arrive at the allocation basis.
• Handling Capital Calls and Distribution notices for Management Co investments.
• Preparing journal entries as required for all areas associated with various revenue streams.
• Conducting detailed reconciliations for various revenue accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identifying, leading, and supporting process improvements and automations to make the processes scalable.
• Liaising with internal and external auditors.
• Presenting analysis to the global team and working on 10Q reporting for the assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Education: Chartered Accountant with approximately 3-5 years of experience for Associate and 6-9 years for Senior Associate.
• Experience Required: Revenue and investment accounting. Financial services, Asset Management industry experience is preferred. Public accounting experience is also preferred.
• General Requirements: Excellent communication skills, strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Oracle working knowledge is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
