Job Description
The Opportunity
ArcticNet is seeking a proactive and driven professional to join its team as Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Funding Development.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by turning ideas into concrete opportunities. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, supporting partnerships, and coordinating high-quality proposals that advance ArcticNet’s mission.
You will be part of a small, collaborative team where initiative, creativity, and follow-through are highly valued.
What You Will Do
- Identify and assess funding opportunities across government, philanthropic, industry, and international sources
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of funding opportunities and track progress
- Support the development of partnerships and contribute to ongoing engagement with funders and collaborators
- Lead the preparation of grant applications and funding proposals
- Coordinate inputs from internal and external contributors to ensure strong, competitive submissions
- Prepare briefing materials, background analyses, and presentations for leadership
- Track activities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure consistent follow-through
What You Bring
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in partnerships, grants, business development, or a related field
- Proven track record of fundraising and contributing to successful proposals or funding initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
· Initiative, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Experience in research, non-profit, or public sector environments is an asset.
Language Requirements
- English (required) – strong written and oral communication
· French (highly desirable) – ability to work in both languages is a strong asset
Candidates with strong English and working knowledge of French are encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to fully bilingual candidates.
Location
ArcticNet is a distributed organization with team members across Canada.
- Preferred locations: Quebec City or Ottawa
