Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Specialist – General Insurance based in the Pune Division. The Specialist will handle day-to-day general insurance processes, including reviewing policy documents, coordinating with insurers and brokers, and ensuring accurate data entry in relevant systems. Responsibilities include assessing coverage requirements, supporting policy issuance, renewals, and endorsements, and tracking claims status as needed. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries, maintain compliance with company procedures, and meet service-level timelines. The Specialist will also prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and provide clear communication and service to clients or partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Insurance and General Insurance products, including policy terms, coverage, and standard industry practices.
• Basic understanding of Finance principles as they relate to premiums, claims, and policy administration.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance information clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
• Experience or familiarity with Insurance Brokerage processes, including coordination with brokers and insurers for quotes, renewals, and endorsements.
• Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with basic office software and insurance or CRM systems; comfort working with spreadsheets and reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business, or a related field preferred; prior experience in general insurance operations is an advantage.
