Apricot Lane Boutique is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager/Retail Operations Lead to join our Potomac team.

This position works directly alongside our District Manager and plays a key role in the day-to-day success of the boutique. We're looking for someone who loves selling, enjoys coaching others, is highly organized, and understands that building lasting customer relationships is just as important as making the sale.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations and management of the boutique
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through personalized styling and relationship building
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing clienteling, outreach, and follow-up
• Lead by example on the sales floor and consistently achieve personal sales goals
• Help coach and motivate the team to meet sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, conversion, units per transaction, and average transaction value
• Receive, process, and accurately enter new inventory into our POS system
• Merchandise new arrivals and maintain an inspiring, organized sales floor
• Assist with visual merchandising and ensure the boutique always looks its best
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Help onboard and train new team members
• Support store events, promotions, social media initiatives, and community engagement
• Partner with the District Manager to help drive store performance and continued growth

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience required
• Leadership, keyholder, or management experience preferred but not required
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships
• Strong selling skills with confidence in styling customers
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment
• Comfortable learning retail technology and POS systems
• Passion for fashion and helping women feel confident
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
