Node.js Developer – JavaScript, Typescript, GitHub, AWS, AZURE, GCP

Toronto ON - Hybrid – 3 Days per Week On-Site

Long Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer with strong backend development experience and hands-on expertise in GitHub for source code management, branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD integration, and collaborative development.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications while following modern software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript/Typescript.
Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop server-side logic, database integrations, and application workflows.

Utilize GitHub for:

Repository management
Branching and merging strategies
Pull Requests (PRs)
Code reviews
Release management
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Node.js development.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or Typescript.

Hands-on experience with GitHub, including:
