Apex Systems is seeking a Web Developer supporting our large Government client!

Alexandria, VA

Schedule:

on-site day shift M-F 40/hr weeks

Type:

long-term contract (8+ years left on award)

Pay:

up to $65/hr (potential flex for well qualified candidates)

Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret SCI security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment

• This role will lead the build out of an executive level "single pane of glass" dashboarding experience using Grafana. The client is transitioning from Power BI, which has limitations for real time monitoring, to a centralized Grafana environment that can ingest data from ServiceNow, Splunk, and other operational systems. The engineer will design intuitive dashboards, integrate multiple data sources, and help establish the technical foundation for real time observability across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping a dashboarding ecosystem, improving existing visualizations, and working closely with stakeholders to define meaningful KPIs and insights.

Project details:

• Develop, design, and maintain dashboards using Grafana and ServiceNow for data visualization.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements and implement real-time dashboard solutions tailored to organizational needs.
• Build and configure back-end integrations between Grafana and various data sources.
• Optimize user experience (UX) by ensuring dashboards are intuitive and provide actionable insights.
• Provide technical expertise and support for assessing and improving existing dashboard solutions.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

• Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Years of experience:

35 years

• Education:

Bachelor's Degree

• Expertise in setting up and configuring dashboards that ingest data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with HTTP APIs and integrations to enable data ingestion.
• Communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with ServiceNow and Grafana desired.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript desired.
• Experience with DevOps tools and cloud monitoring platforms desired.
