Senior Full Stack Engineer – Commerce Experience

(Ruby/Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, JavaScript)

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote available — must be based in Canada)

Contract Length: 12 months

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00/HR CAD

Team: Commerce Experience (Payments, Loyalty, Coupons)

About the Team

• The Commerce Experience team owns our clients key transactional experiences, payment method management, coupon application, loyalty integrations, and checkout flows. The team spans iOS, Android, Web, and Backend engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance front-end or back-end components within payments/commerce systems
• Design and deliver high-quality, scalable features end‑to‑end
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and marketing teams
• Participate in standups, technical discussions, and planning sessions
• Write clean, maintainable code with proper testing and documentation
• Identify technical issues, propose solutions, and drive improvements

Required Skills

• Expertise in
• Ruby (Backend)
• TypeScript, React, JavaScript (Web)
• Experience designing and scaling customer-facing applications
• Background in payments, loyalty, coupons, or similar commerce systems
• Ability to work independently and deliver end‑to‑end features
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally

Nice-to-Haves

• Python or Go experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
