Job Summary

Apace Transco Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly competent Port Operations Manager to oversee container transportation operations . This role is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of container movement from port to final destination, with full control over planning, dispatch, documentation, vendor coordination, and delivery closure.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Take operational control immediately after CHA clearance of containers
• Manage transport request review, trip planning, and approvals
• Ensure timely vehicle placement and dispatch from port
• Oversee complete execution of container transportation till delivery

Route Planning & Commercial Coordination:

• Finalize transportation rates with clients for assigned routes
• Conduct feasibility analysis and route planning for cost-effective execution
• Ensure optimal utilization of fleet and resources

Vendor & Driver Management:

• Identify, negotiate, and finalize transport vendors
• Ensure vehicle availability as per operational requirements
• Manage driver allocation, induction, briefing, and performance monitoring

Documentation & Compliance:

• Oversee preparation of E-Way Bills, LR/CN, and related documents
• Ensure verification of RC, Insurance, Fitness, PUC, and Driving License
• Maintain proper documentation and digital records for audit compliance

Dispatch & Delivery Execution:

• Approve dispatch and monitor vehicle movement
• Ensure timely POD collection and verification
• Update systems for delivery closure and maintain accurate records

Billing & Financial Coordination:

• Prepare and submit billing files to accounts
• Handle discrepancy resolution and maintain billing tracker
• Follow up on payments and ensure timely financial closure

Recovery & Claims Handling:

• Manage recovery, settlement, and claim decisions
• Conduct fault determination in case of incidents
• Handle recovery from drivers/vendors and maintain accident records

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Prepare MIS reports and daily operations reports
• Monitor performance, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Ensure proper record maintenance and reporting accuracy

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in container transportation operations
• Strong exposure to post-CHA port operations and inland logistics execution
• Proven experience in rate finalization and vendor negotiation
• Sound knowledge of transport documentation and statutory compliance
• Strong leadership skills with experience in handling drivers, vendors, and operations teams
• Ability to manage high-pressure, time-sensitive logistics operations

• High level of accountability and ownership
