Job Description

Answer Precision Technologies (APT) is a rapidly growing automation and equipment manufacturer specializing in advanced Assembly Automation Systems, Precision Checking Fixtures, and Mould Tooling. We build complex, custom solutions — and no two projects are the same.

We’re looking for a highly experienced CNC Programmer/Operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix environment and enjoys creating new programs daily.

This is a day shift position: Monday – Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm!

We are hiring for one position!

What You’ll Do

  • Program and run CNC machines (3-axis & 5-axis)
  • Develop programs using Cimatron
  • Interpret CAD drawings and apply GD&T
  • Set up tooling and optimize machining processes
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and toolmakers
  • Support continuous improvement and mentor junior team members

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of custom CNC programming experience
  • Strong 3-axis and 5-axis machining background
  • Proficiency in Cimatron is preferred
  • Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement
  • Experience with gauges, fixtures, moulds, jigs, dies, and automation components

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Able to commute to the Kitchener location
