Anduril has brought to the market a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform, and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. We work in a highly dynamic environment where collaboration and idea sharing are a way of life.</p> <h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3> <p>We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Quonset, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a manufacturing engineering team over a subset of Anduril’s products to drive process improvements, ensure the highest quality of production, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies on existing technologies while also developing new products and scaling to full scale production.</p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4> <ul> <li>Lead and directly manage a small team of manufacturing engineers overseeing a product line or distinct value-stream within manufacturing</li> <li>Run weekly 1v1 / team meetings, set prioritization focus, coordinate team scheduling, and provide concise status reporting</li> <li>Extremely high level of product ownership and adherence to manufacturing engineering best practices</li> <li>Organize DFX efforts and ensure timely completion of production readiness deliverables</li> <li>Mentor and support junior manufacturing engineers and serve as a role model for manufacturing excellence</li> <li>Deliver escalations to management with potential blockers, well-informed risk mitigation plans, and help needed</li> <li>Develop and execute strategic plans for manufacturing capacity and optimization</li> <li>Set standard for creation and review of technical drawings, blueprints, and process maps</li> <li>Oversee the execution of manufacturing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards</li> <li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production ramp-up for new products</li> </ul> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</h4> <ul> <li>Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science</li> <li>7+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware</li> <li>3+ years demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment</li> <li>Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.</li> <li>A strong passion manufacturing and thirst for continuous improvement</li> <li>Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</li> </ul> <h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</h4> <ul> <li>Experience in maritime robotics (AUVs, UUVs, USVs, subsea sensors)</li> <li>Experience working with electrical systems up to 400VDc</li> <li>Subsea cable splicing or fabrication experience</li> <li>Experience with pressure vessels and/or industrial pressure test equipment</li> <li>Prior experience working with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents</li> <li>Experience with large scale high mix manufacturing at different stages of product maturity</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$126,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$176,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
