Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
Strong understanding of laboratory safety and equipment handling.

Job Description The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is seeking to appoint qualified and dedicated Lab Assistants to oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of its laboratories. This role is critical in ensuring that lab facilities support high-quality teaching, learning, and research activities. Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of all EEE department laboratories (e.g., Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Control Systems Lab, Embedded systems Lab, Renewable Technologies Lab, Basic Electrical and Electronics Lab, Workshop, etc.).
Ensure proper functioning and safety of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Assist faculty in setting up experiments, demonstrations, and practical sessions.
Maintain inventory of equipment, components, and consumables; manage procurement and maintenance processes.
Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment regularly.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and prepare safety documentation as required.
Coordinate with faculty members for lab development, modifications, and research support.
Provide technical guidance and training to lab staff and students as needed.
Maintain lab usage logs and support in academic audits or accreditations (e.g., NBA, NAAC).

Skills

Knowledge of software tools such as MATLAB, Multisim, PSCAD, LabVIEW, etc.
Familiarity with academic laboratory documentation, ISO/NBA standards.
Ability to support project and research activities.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory management or industrial practice.
Hands-on experience with electrical machines, power electronics, measurement systems, and simulation tools.
