About the Role

We are looking for three motivated Research Associates with a strong foundation in electrochemistry and chemical experimentation to join our battery recycling and critical minerals R&D team. The selected candidates will work on electrolysis-based metal recovery, lithium-ion battery materials, and electrochemical process development.

This is a hands-on laboratory role requiring individuals who are passionate about research, experimentation, and technology development. Candidates with prior experience in industrial R&D laboratories, electrochemical research, or chemical process development will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

Essential

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or related disciplines.

Preferred

  • 2–3 years of industrial or research experience.
  • Experience working in research laboratories, chemical laboratories, or electrochemical R&D facilities.
  • Prior experience with battery materials or electrochemical processes is desirable.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates with experience from the following domains are encouraged to apply:

Key Responsibilities

Electrolysis Experiments

  • Prepare and execute electrolysis experiments.
  • Assemble and operate electrochemical cells and associated equipment.
  • Optimize operating parameters such as current density, voltage, electrolyte concentration, and temperature.
  • Evaluate current efficiency and process performance.

Experimental Operations

  • Prepare reagents and electrolyte solutions.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments according to established protocols.
  • Record observations and maintain laboratory notebooks.
  • Assist in process optimization studies.

Electrochemical Characterization

  • Should be familiar with equipment like DC power supply, Flow Cells, CO2 Cylinders & industry grade chemicals.
  • Perform cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic studies.
  • Measure pH, conductivity, and other process parameters.
  • Support sample preparation for analytical characterization.

Data Analysis and Documentation

  • Maintain detailed experimental records.
  • Analyze and summarize experimental data.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Support SOP development and laboratory documentation.

Laboratory Operations

  • Ensure safe chemical handling practices.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and consumables & Follow EHS procedures and quality standards.
  • Support day-to-day R&D activities.

Required Technical SkillsPreferred Expertise

  • Hot plates and magnetic stirrers

Experience

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in research laboratories, electrochemical process development, battery materials, or chemical R&D will be preferred.
