The American Conservation Coalition is building the conservative environmental movement, behind policies that build both a cleaner and more prosperous world through pursuit of environmental conservation. Our growing team operates with excellence executing change across grassroots, grasstops, communications, and administrative functions.

The Agricultural Policy Manager reports to the Vice President of Policy and leads the development and advancement of policy recommendations within ACC’s regenerative agriculture portfolio. This role manages research and stakeholder engagement, produces evidence-based policy briefs, and builds coalitions with farmers and conservation practitioners. The position also helps drive public education and grassroots mobilization to advance regenerative agriculture priorities.

Responsibilities.

  • Lead research and development of policy recommendations supporting regenerative agriculture to inform federal solutions, including legislation and USDA program reform.
  • Manage convenings and engage producers, technical experts, and conservation partners.
  • Drive coalition-building efforts across agricultural and conservation stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Government Affairs team on federal advocacy, including directing research and preparing materials for meetings and briefings with congressional and agency staff.
  • Shape public education strategies through social media, op-eds, and grassroots engagement to advance regenerative agriculture priorities.

Qualifications.

  • 2+ years of experience in policy analysis or empirical research experience, including work in a university, agricultural extension, NGO, or private sector setting.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with agriculture, agronomy, environmental science, biology, agricultural or environmental economics, or conservation science through academic, professional, or applied experience.
  • Interest in regenerative agriculture, farm conservation, or related conservation areas.
  • Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative policy research, agricultural and conservation issues, and federal advocacy.
  • Strong preference for experience in agriculture or conservation practice implementation, including familiarity with USDA conservation programs (e.g., EQIP, CSP, RCPP, ACEP, CRP).
  • Ability to research, analyze, and develop policy solutions, build relationships, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation & Benefits.

  • Salary: The range for this position is $70,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses also available.
  • Insurance: Medical insurance options are covered 100%. 99% coverage of dental and vision insurance. Short-term disability and life insurance are also offered at 100% cost coverage.
  • Retirement: 401(k) offered with employer match.
