Job Description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

*Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state

+ Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

*Pharmacy Lead LPN - Corrections Setting**
*Schedule:** Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
*Overtime:** Occasional OT available to support other areas of the facility
*Start Dates:** ASAP
*Pay Rate:** $38/hour
*Contract Length:** 26 weeks
*Position Overview**

This role is ideal for an experienced LPN with a strong background in corrections or similarly structured environments. As the Pharmacy Lead, you'll oversee daily pharmacy operations within the jail, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient medication management for the facility.

*Requirements**

+ Active **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** license

+ **Corrections experience required** (or comparable high-security/structured healthcare environment)

+ Strong organizational and leadership skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a secure setting

*Key Responsibilities**

+ Supervise and coordinate daily pharmacy operations

+ Ensure accurate and secure medication dispensing

+ Manage inventory, including controlled substances, with strict accountability

+ Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and security protocols

+ Collaborate with correctional officers, nurses, and healthcare providers

+ Investigate and resolve medication discrepancies

+ Complete documentation, audits, and incident reports with precision
