Job Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for coordinating efforts in data analytics, data collection, reporting, and data visualizations. The Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with senior team members to ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for data analytics, data collection, reporting and data visualizations of key business objectivesTransforms data into insights that drive business valueOperationalizes data workflows and modelingDeploys data to a data warehouseParticipates in the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applicationIdentifies, researches, and resolves technical problems as well as ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilitiesReports, analyzes, and distributes key reports on weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basisAbility to liaison between business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholdersEnsures integrity of Data Collection and UtilizationAssists in the automation of reporting creation through power query, windows tasks, Macros, SQL agent jobs, data refresh schedulesWorks with stakeholders to develop specific, repeatable definitions of metricsUnderstands business process and how BI technologies enable the processSupports, maintains, and improves existing applicationProvides data requests through ad-hoc queriesProvides support and guidance to end usersInforms key stakeholders of potential issues related to errors and trendsProvides great customer service to our business partnersPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, mathematics, economics, statistics, management, accounting or in a related field or equivalent experience required2+ year experience in the ITRelational database skills using SQL ServerProficient working knowledge of Power BITSQL Programming experience requiredAdvanced knowledge of Excel (Power Query, Macros, Automation of reporting)Capable of learning new technology in a fast paced environmentAbility to analyze system and process related issues and offer solutionsStrong customer service and communication skills requiredMust be able to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a strong attention to detailAdvanced computer proficiency required and proficiency in Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office suite software programs, internet usage, and learning program design systems and softwareAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
