This role is about understanding how content travels and why. It sits at the intersection of platform intelligence, cultural awareness, and mental health communication. You will help shape Amaha's organic social presence and grow it with intent.
ABOUT AMAHA
Amaha (formerly InnerHour) was founded in 2016 by psychiatrist and healthcare entrepreneur Dr. Amit Malik. We’re building India’s most trusted, comprehensive mental health ecosystem.
Today, our work spans a high-impact self-care app used by millions, outpatient centres across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi, and a new state-of-the-art inpatient hospital in Bengaluru.
Our 200+ experts collaborate every day to bring together clinical excellence, technology, and compassion, delivering care that’s evidence-based, accessible, and deeply human.
6M+ clients reached, 220,000+ therapy and psychiatry sessions, 50,000+ peer support users, 120+ institutional partnerships
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role moves beyond content scheduling to focus on platform strategy. We are looking for someone who treats social platforms as living ecosystems where behaviour shifts constantly, content performance evolves, and real growth is driven by understanding what audiences truly respond to.
You will be responsible for two things above all else:
- Platform and cultural intelligence, staying genuinely current with how audiences behave, how platforms reward content, and how conversations around mental health, well-being, and everyday life are evolving in India and globally.
- Performance understanding, being able to read what the numbers are actually telling you, not just report them. Knowing which metrics reflect real traction and which are surface-level noise.
Everything else, content coordination, publishing, community awareness, flows from those two things.
SCOPE OF WORK
Platform Intelligence & Analytics
- Build and own performance reporting from scratch, not just pulling numbers but knowing which numbers to pull and what they actually mean for organic growth
- Develop a clear point of view on what is driving or hurting reach, and bring that view into strategy conversations with evidence behind it
- Track platform behaviour across Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging channels, including algorithm shifts, format changes, and what is gaining traction and why
- Identify patterns across content performance, audience behaviour, and platform distribution that inform what we do next
- Stay current with what is working organically across relevant categories and adjacent spaces, not just for Amaha but across the broader landscape
- Understand the difference between metrics that reflect genuine audience behaviour and those that are surface-level noise, and report accordingly
Social Media Management
- Manage publishing and content coordination across platforms in monthly and quarterly cycles
- Work closely with creative, design, video, and copy teams to ensure content is platform-native and culturally aware
- Maintain systems for tracking, scheduling, references, and reporting
- Ensure consistency in how Amaha shows up across platforms, in tone, format, and timing
- Support campaign rollouts by coordinating across teams and keeping execution on track
Cultural & Content Contribution
- Bring relevant cultural context and platform references into brainstorming and planning sessions
- Help identify angles where current conversations intersect meaningfully with mental health and Amaha's positioning
- Pay close attention to how audiences talk about mental health online, including language, tone, sentiment, and how it shifts over time
- Spot emerging formats, creator behaviours, and cultural moments early enough to act on them
- Contribute ideas for reactive content and platform-native storytelling that feels timely and grounded
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1 to 1.5 years of experience in social media, content, digital marketing, or platform-adjacent work
- A genuine habit of observing the internet with intent, not just consuming it
- Some working familiarity with how platforms distribute content and what tends to drive organic reach
- Strong analytical capability: You are comfortable diving into raw data to build your own performance reports, identifying trends, and translating metrics into actionable insight.
- Strong communication and a clear point of view when it comes to content and culture
- Intellectual honesty, the ability to say what is not working, not just what is
- Organisational ability and comfort working across multiple teams and timelines
Experience in startups, agencies, media, creator ecosystems, or internet-first brands is a strong advantage. Freshers are unlikely to be considered.
YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN IF YOU…
- Notice shifts in platform behaviour, content formats, and audience language before they become obvious
- Have opinions about why certain things travel online and others don't
- Are genuinely curious about people, how they express themselves, what they respond to, what they ignore
- Can connect a cultural moment to a brand context without it feeling forced
- Like balancing creative instinct with analytical thinking
- Care about working on something that matters, mental health communication in India is still being figured out, and you want to be part of shaping it
HOW WE WORK
Mental health communication requires sensitivity, clarity, and responsibility, especially online, where context disappears fast. We move with urgency but think carefully about what we put into the world.
This role comes with real coaching and context. You will not be expected to walk in knowing everything. You will be expected to be curious, honest about what you do and don't know, and genuinely invested in getting better.
The people who thrive here are proactive, culturally curious, emotionally aware, and excited by work that sits at the intersection of healthcare, culture, and human behaviour online.
