Job Requirements

Location: Mirabel, QC

Travel Requirement: 3 days on-site per week

Project Context

As an EWIS Integration Engineer, you will support a major aerospace program, focusing on electrical system integration and 3D harness rooting. This role requires expertise in CATIA and harness design, with a strong background in EWIS configuration management and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience (with 8+ years preferred) in aerospace electrical systems, including design ownership, risk mitigation, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. EWIS Integration Leadership

  • Lead electrical integration activities, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Coordinate critical design reviews (PDR/CDR) with Systems, Structures, and Methods teams.
  • Manage EWIS configuration, documenting and testing all modifications.
  • Proactively identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.

2. 3D Harness Rooting & Design

  • Develop and optimize 3D harness routing using CATIA/ENOVIA.
  • Collaborate with Structure and Systems teams to resolve spatial and weight constraints.
  • Assess design changes for impact on electrical networks (voltage drops, critical path separation).

3. Technical & Operational Support

  • Mentor junior team members in EWIS best practices (schematics, 3D routing, harness release).
  • Resolve navigability and production issues with technical expertise.
  • Ensure supplier deliverables meet Airbus quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Avionics/Electrical preferred).
  • 5+ years in aerospace EWIS/avionics (8+ years ideal).
  • CATIA/ENOVIA proficiency (Airbus environment a plus).
  • EWIS FAR regulations knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • A220 family aircraft experience.
  • EMI/EMC requirements familiarity.
  • MRB approval process understanding.
