Job Description
As a Network Engineer at alliantgroup, you will be directly responsible for the day-to-day operation of the overall LAN/WAN environment, including all Routers, Switches, VPNs, Firewalls, and adjunct network devices. Your main focus will be to maintain the maximum level of availability for the network and drive continuous improvement in operational procedures, standards, and network design to achieve this goal. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentoring to other team members and collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimize the network design and ensure smooth operations.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide technical leadership in networking technology and administrative support for multifaceted network systems.
- Support all aspects of the voice and data networks globally, including installation, administration, maintenance, and support for firewalls, switches, servers, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with network hardware and ensure the quality and reliability of the IP backbone.
- Develop capacity planning models, ensure system readiness, and monitor capacity adjustments.
- Participate in network security guidelines, evaluate vendor services, and recommend changes.
- Integrate best practices, standards, procedures, and quality objectives across systems infrastructure.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members.
- Document and complete all changes in accordance with accepted Change Management policies.
- Coordinate with ISMS core team to support ISMS activities and implementation strategies.
- *Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related fields.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Expertise in architecture and ability to learn and assess multiple technologies.
- Good experience in Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
