Job Description
Are you a Senior Software Engineer who specializes in Claude and agent-based development living in Vadodara, Gujarat, India?
We at Alendis are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who specializes in Claude and agent-based development. You'll own building and scaling our AI-driven engineering workflows—both on the product side (agents inside Alendis AI) and the internal ops side (Claude Code workflows, MCP servers, custom skills).
This is a senior technical role with direct impact on the product and the team. You'll work closely with our India team and collaborate across time zones with the Iceland team.
Responsibilities
Build AI agents using the Claude Agent SDK and Anthropic API — both customer-facing (horse analysis assistant, veterinarian chat) and internal (ops, annotation pipeline, sales intelligence)
Design and build MCP servers to connect Claude to our systems.
Create custom Claude Code skills for our team — speed up and improve the quality of our engineering work
Architect prompt caching, tool use, and multi-step agent workflows — we want to build things right, not just fast
Mentor the team on best practices for Claude, agent design, and AI-assisted development
Work across the stack — Next.js 16, TypeScript, Turborepo monorepo, shadcn/ui, Python ML pipeline
What We're Looking For

Proven experience with the Claude API / Anthropic SDK — not just experimentation, but real production deployments
Experience with agent architectures — tool use, multi-step reasoning, orchestration
Strong TypeScript and Python skills
Understanding of prompt caching, context management, and cost optimization
Experience shipping production-ready systems (not just prototypes)
