Territory Manager

· Location: Lougheed ∙Stettler ∙ Olds ∙High River ∙ Coaldale ∙Dunmore

Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
  • Seasonal overtime and on call as required

About the Role

The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving sales, margin, and inventory objectives within an assigned territory in support of the Company’s growth. The role focuses on the sale of agricultural equipment and related products while delivering a consultative sales experience to agricultural operations across the assigned territory, developing strong customer relationships, and supporting long‑term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and achieve assigned retail sales targets.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute a territory management plan, including the timely and accurate submission of retail forecasts by customer in Iron HQ, in alignment with Alberta AG Centre strategies.
  • Successfully assess customer needs and, in collaboration with the Retail Finance Manager, identify and communicate appropriate financing solutions to support timely approvals, optimize sales opportunities, and ensure a seamless customer purchase experience.
  • Continuously strengthen product knowledge and marketplace understanding through training and development initiatives to improve sales effectiveness and results.
  • Deliver highly effective field demonstrations that accurately represent the agricultural equipment and products sold by the Company.
  • Participate in, lead, and support dealer and customer events—including farm shows, workshops, expert camps, and other promotional or marketing activities—as required.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, including customer visits, quotations, demonstrations, lost sales analysis, and related activity reporting.
  • Assist with annual sales forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term sales planning for the assigned territory.
  • Provide sales and transactional support for used equipment inventory, as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quality after‑sales support and that customer needs are met effectively and professionally.
  • Adhere to all Company values, policies, procedures, and applicable safety laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance and contribute positively to Company culture through active team participation.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends, as business needs dictate.

Qualifications and Skills

· Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within a capital goods dealership environment or in a sales, marketing, or distribution development role with a capital goods manufacturer.

· Highly motivated, independent, and results‑driven with a strong customer‑service orientation.

· Demonstrated experience selling through third‑party dealer or distribution channels.

· Background in both B2C and B2B sales environments, including contract negotiation and deal structuring.

· Experience with agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, or related industries is highly preferred.

· Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

· Strong territory planning, account management, and business development capabilities.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage a high‑volume workload in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

· Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

· Experience using Iron HQ is considered an asset.

· A valid driver’s license and valid passport are required and must be maintained throughout the term of employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects.
  • Ability to lift to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and speech to operate a telephone, computer, and mobile device, and to communicate product information to customers.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
