About this opportunity:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking Software Engineers (Core Engineer 3 level) to join the Quality Warranty Verification & Validation organisation. These roles are essential in driving early defect detection and prevention strategies to elevate software quality across next‑generation automotive systems.
You will partner with cross‑functional engineering teams, suppliers, and leadership to drive process improvements, lead design reviews, enhance verification/validation capabilities, and influence cultural and technical excellence across software development.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead early software defect detection and prevention strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define and implement software process‑improvement methods that enhance reliability and quality.
- Conduct detailed software design reviews to ensure architectural and quality compliance.
- Support Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) efforts to identify and mitigate software risks proactively.
- Participate in engineering joint reviews and quality reviews to maintain best‑practice standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software verification and validation processes.
- Analyse warranty, field, and test data to identify systemic issues and drive corrective actions.
- Partner with internal teams and suppliers to elevate software quality across infotainment, connected gateways, and telematics systems.
- Coach and train engineering teams on best practices, including ISO 26262 and ASPICE-related processes.
- Contribute to continuous process development and improvement within the software quality organization.
- Communicate complex technical issues effectively to engineering and executive leadership.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of automotive software engineering experience focused on quality, warranty analytics, or verification/validation.
- Strong expertise in software defect detection and prevention methodologies.
- Experience performing software design reviews for quality and architecture compliance.
- Solid background in Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) for software-intensive systems.
- Experience implementing and assessing ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Strong embedded software development experience (C/C++, AUTOSAR, or similar).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and training skills with the ability to influence cultural and technical improvements.

- Knowledge of ASPICE and software process assessments.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of open-source software compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
