Job Description
Project Financial Analyst / Project Finance Specialist
6 Months Contract (Remote)
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Project Financial Analyst to support end‑to‑end project financial management. This role will work closely with project managers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to ensure strong financial governance and clear visibility into project performance.
✅ Responsibilities
Project Funding & Financial Management
- Manage the full project funding approval cycle and track financials throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee month‑to‑month project financials, including:
- Internal labor costs and contractor T&M costs (from Planview)
- Scope‑based SOW and resource allocations, with compliance monitoring through Fieldglass
SOW & Budget Oversight
- Maintain and monitor Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring spend aligns with approved project budgets
- Manage and track both CapEx and OpEx allocations
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform budget vs. forecast vs. actuals analysis and highlight key variances
- Review, validate, and resolve discrepancies in accruals submitted to SAP
- Utilize Power BI dashboards for financial visibility and reporting
Governance & Vendor Support
- Support vendor management, cost allocations, and overall financial governance across projects
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of project financial management and accounting principles
- Experience with Planview, Fieldglass, SAP, and Power BI (preferred but not required)
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, allocations, and accruals
- Understanding of technical project cycles (e.g., SDLC)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights to stakeholders effectively
