Position: Network Infra - Telecom Specialist

Duration: Initially 6 month assignment (Posibility of extension)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is hiring a Network Infra – Telecom Specialist for a contract role in Toronto, ON. The role requires broadcast network automation (multicast, SMPTE ST 2022-7, Arista), full-stack development (Python/Flask, TypeScript/React, D3.js, InfluxDB/Grafana), and leading GenAI-assisted development to deliver productivity equal to a 3–4 person team.

Services to be Provided

• Automate and monitor broadcast network infrastructure (multicast, SMPTE ST 2022-7, Arista)
• Build full-stack tooling (Python/Flask, TypeScript/React, D3.js, InfluxDB/Grafana)
• Lead and orchestrate GenAI-assisted development (Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex): this is what allows a single engineer to sustain the output of a 3-4 person team.

• Arista CI/CD (Continuous Deployment, Coninuous Integration
• Network Orchestration
• Network Provisioning
• ANSIBLE Playbook Provisioning Pipelines

(Mandatory)

• Networking Protocols PIM, BPG, LLDP, DHCP, VLAN, LACP, L2, L3, VXLAN
• Experience with Cisco IOS, IOSXE, NXOS, DNA Center
• Data Centre best practices (TIA, IEEE)
• WAN, Cisco SD-A, WiFi, authentication
• Network security and monitoring
• Spine and Leaf Architecture
• Physical Layer (Fibre optics, copper cabling)
• Senior Network engineer with hands of in depth experience of Cisco Campus technologies.

Expertise Required:

• Networking technologies and related products from different manufacturers (Cisco, Arista) for data centers, campus networking and different types of network services, automation, network configurations and modifications
• Complex routing protocols, Wi-Fi, authentication, WAN technologies, multicast, networking security policies, Cisco SD-A
