Roles and Responsibilities
- Use terraform to automate orchestration of infra on Vmware.
- Automate kubernetes cluster creation and management.
- Write helm charts for different deployments
- Write python/go code to deploy applications via docker images
- Create dashboard on Grafana.
- Design and automate prometheus federated or thanos.
- Troubleshooting apps in case of outage
- Design and automate consul, vault
- Automate kafka failover and rebalancing
- Automate elastic search with fluentd and kafka.
- Write code to create CI and CD platform
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
4-6 years of work experience in frontend development.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 4+ years in DevOps role with VM and Containers & Production Deployment experience must.
- Must have background of working in Product Company or should be from startup.
- In-depth Linux/Unix knowledge, good understanding the various Linux kernel subsystems (memory, storage, network etc).
- DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, HA & Load Balancing. Configuration management using tools like Ansible, Salt
- HA and Load balancing using tools like the Elastic Load Balancer and HAProxy.
- Monitoring tools like services like datadog, new relic
- Log management tools like Logstash/Syslog/ElasticSearch or similar.
- Metrics collection tools like Grafana, prometheus or similar
- Good understanding of distributed systems like kafka, zookeeper
- Good understanding of building immutable infrastructures using packer, terraform, consul, vault
- automation experience using python/ruby/go
- Good understanding of Linux containers (docker, coreos) and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes , docker swarm.
Qualification:
Technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)
