Plant Operator IV — Montney Operations (14/14 Rotation)

Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off

Hours: 12‑hour shifts

Travel: Fly‑in or drive‑in; flights reimbursed at cost

Certification: Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering

Role Overview

The Plant Operator is a senior operations role responsible for safely monitoring, controlling, and optimizing a Montney processing facility. This position requires strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to operate complex equipment from both the field and the control room.

Key Responsibilities

• Control Room Operations — Monitor and operate plant systems through the control room, ensuring safe and stable production.
• Equipment Surveillance — Track operating equipment, critical parameters, and maintain accurate logs.
• Maintenance Preparation — Prepare equipment for maintenance, perform routine inspections, and support preventative maintenance programs.
• Operational Troubleshooting — Identify issues, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• HSE Compliance — Work in full alignment with site safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years senior plant operations experience in gas processing, CPF operations, or similar hydrocarbon facilities.
• 4th Class Power Engineering (minimum).
• Demonstrated ability to operate complex processing systems and equipment.
• Strong understanding of process safety, isolation procedures, and permit systems.
• Experience coordinating work with maintenance, contractors, and other operations personnel.
• Recognized as a technical specialist capable of solving complex operational problems.
• Ability to act as a lead operator within the shift team (non‑supervisory).

Work Environment

• 14/14 rotation with 12‑hour shifts.
• Fly‑in or drive‑in; all flights reimbursed at cost.
• Camp‑based accommodation provided during shift.
