What are we looking for

• 4–6 years of professional accounting experience, with hands-on ownership of end-to-end accounting processes
• Demonstrated experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
• Experience with regulatory reporting and tax filings, preferably in a fintech, banking, or financial services environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — comfortable handling large datasets (thousands of rows), pivot tables, and intermediate formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)
• Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
• Strong data organisation and analytical skills with a high commitment to accuracy
• A self-starter who can ask the right questions, learn specific workflows, and take full ownership of assigned processes
• Proactive communicator who works collaboratively in a small, dynamic finance team

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
• Support regulatory and tax compliance activities in coordination with the broader finance team
• Prepare and assist with financial reporting — monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
• Take complete ownership of assigned accounting processes and ensure timely, accurate execution
• Work closely with the finance team to understand and document accounting workflows
• Handle large volumes of financial data with accuracy using Excel and other tools
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
• Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements where applicable
• Communicate proactively when clarification or guidance is needed on assigned tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus
• 4 to 6 years of professional accounting experience with end-to-end process ownership
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience with regulatory reporting and tax filings is preferred
• Prior experience in a fintech, banking, or financial services environment is an advantage
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and intermediate formulas; familiarity with ERP/accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership, and ability to manage processes independently in a fast-paced environment
