About the position
AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We are in search of a Systems Administrator I or Systems Administrator II to join our Infrastructure and Operations department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters) or Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the Director, Microsoft Platform and is responsible for securing, managing, and optimizing an enterprise Microsoft 365 E5 environment within a highly regulated financial services organization. This role works closely with the Information Security, Identity, and Endpoint Management teams to ensure M365 security configurations align with enterprise-policies, while implementing within the M365 platform and is critical in protecting our identities, data, devices, and collaboration tools. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is: Level I: Typical starting range: \$53,600 - \$71,900 Full base salary range: \$53,600 - \$90,400 Annual performance-based incentive target is 8% of base. Level II: Typical starting range: \$66,200 - \$88,700 Full base salary range: \$66,200 - \$113,600 Annual performance-based incentive target is 10% of base. The base salary range for this position in Rocklin, California is: Level I: Typical starting range: \$62,000 - \$83,100 Full base salary range: \$62,000 - \$104,100 Annual performance-based incentive target is 8% of base. Level II: Typical starting range: \$75,700 - \$101,600 Full base salary range: \$75,700 - \$130,400 Annual performance-based incentive target is 10% of base.
Responsibilities
- Configure Microsoft Purview solutions including sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, records management, eDisvovery (Premium), and audit.
- Administer and document Microsoft 365 E5 workloads including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and related services including configuration, user role and profile updates, security settings, and user access controls.
- Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance configurations as defined by the Information Security team's policies and standards.
- Contribute to M365 integrations, migrations, and copilot readiness and collaborate on Copilot governance.
- Support application operational activities, including design configuration and integrations, ensuring effective and consistent use.
- Coordinate, conduct and validate testing for enhancements, upgrades and application changes.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 production support for applications.
- Align application capabilities and features with business goals to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams, architects and service providers to apply best practices for applications management and system integration.
- Champion the adoption of applications and tools, assisting with change management, training materials and identifying use cases.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and features and serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
- Develop and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Generally, requires one to three years' experience supporting or acting as system administrator for enterprise applications
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise or regulated environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 E5 security and compliance capabilities
- Strong understanding of cloud identity and Zero Trust
- Familiarity with system testing and supporting application upgrades or enhancements
- Understanding of data security principles and role-based access
- Ability to think critically and to translate business opportunities into customer-centric solutions
- Understanding of basic business analysis and project management concepts
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and control assigned activities
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
