Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Contractor to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership abilities, and proficiency in various trades and technical skills. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing project timelines, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in blueprint reading, construction estimating, and a wide range of construction techniques including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth workflow.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized trades such as concrete forming, finishing, tile laying, flooring installation, cabinet installation, restoration work, and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations at all times.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality control.
• Prepare construction estimates and assist with procurement of materials.
• Address unforeseen issues promptly to minimize delays or cost overruns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of project activities for reporting purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods including carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, concrete finishing, restoration, painting, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and schematic interpretation.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project management software is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades simultaneously.
• Valid certifications or licenses related to construction management or specific trades are advantageous but not mandatory.
