Job Description

As a NOC Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the telecom network infrastructure, which includes optical fiber networks, network devices, and associated services. Your responsibilities will involve proactive fault management, incident resolution, and ensuring high network availability across customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain optical fiber links, network devices, servers, and services to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, including L2-level escalations, in coordination with Tier 1 and Tier 3 teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents within defined SLA timelines.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Tier 1 engineers on troubleshooting techniques and operational best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and network performance reports.
  • Coordinate with field teams and customers for issue resolution and service restoration.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Firewalls OLT / ONT Devices (GPON networks).
  • Optical Fiber Networks, DWDM, and SDH / SONET technologies.
  • Understanding of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of networking protocols and concepts.

In this role, proficiency in English and Hindi languages will be advantageous.
