Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a large poultry processing plant located in Harrisonburg, VA, known for serving high-profile clients. We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to perform preventative maintenance on Allen Bradley PLC systems, industrial equipment, and building facilities. This role requires some welding experience and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Allen Bradley PLC systems and industrial equipment.
• Conduct building maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Utilize welding skills, with an openness to further learning in this area.
• Adapt to different shifts and responsibilities, including EVIS Machine Tech and EVIS Mechanic roles on the 2nd shift, and Further Processing Mechanic and EVIS Mechanic roles on the 3rd shift.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or completion of a trades certificate or program.
• Experience working on industrial equipment.
• Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and welding tasks.
• PLC knowledge is highly advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo additional training and certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Interest in apprenticeship opportunities for career advancement.

Work Environment

Work in a cold and wet environment in a poultry plant, with supportive management focused on training. The facility offers a shift differential of $2/hr for 3rd shift and $1/hr for 2nd shift. Shifts are scheduled from 2pm-10pm for 2nd shift and 10pm-6am for 3rd shift. Opportunities for growth and development are abundant in this environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisonburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
