The Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinical Nurse Supervisor provide direct supervision to selected clinical areas and assists the practice in delivering health care to patients consistent with the practice’s policies and procedures.

We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field.
- Typically, 3 years of experience in a similar medical practice setting which should include thorough knowledge of physician billing, accounting and general medical office procedures.
- Ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians and employees at all levels throughout the organization and the public.
As a Clinic Supervisor, your core responsibilities typically include:
- Staff Management: Overseeing the day-to-day activities of non-physician staff, including scheduling, performance reviews, and daily coaching.
- Clinic Operations: Managing reception, billing workflows, accounts payable, and patient flow.
- Liaising: Acting as the primary bridge between clinical staff, doctors, and organizational leadership to ensure seamless patient care.
- Requirements: Typically requiring at least 3 years of experience in a medical practice setting along with strong billing, coding, and general healthcare administration knowledge.
What You’ll Do:
- Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Departments include; General Surgery, Pain Management, OB/GYN, lab and Patient Service Representatives.
As a skilled and compassionate Clinical Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that your team delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. You will oversee and support staff in providing and coordinating comprehensive care through the nursing process, promoting safe, therapeutic outcomes in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures.
About This Location:
Aurora Health Care operates a major hospital and several comprehensive clinics throughout Sheboygan, offering everything from primary care and daily urgent care to 24/7 emergency services.
The main campus for medical and emergency care is the Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County, located at 3400 Union Ave. This state-of-the-art facility provides a full spectrum of care, including general surgery, cardiology, a Level IV Trauma Center, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
For day-to-day medical needs, the Aurora Health Center at 2414 Kohler Memorial Dr is a major community hub. This location houses multiple departments:
- Aurora Urgent Care: Walk-in and same-day care for minor illnesses and injuries.
- Aurora Family Medicine & Aurora Internal Medicine: Comprehensive primary care, annual physicals, and long-term care management for all ages.
- Aurora Allergy: Allergy testing and treatment.
Additionally, there is a second major clinic located at 1813 Ashland Ave, which provides specialized outpatient care. If you are dealing with a mental health concern, the Aurora Behavioral Health Center offers both outpatient and intensive therapy programs for adolescents and adults

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
