At Koan Beacon Publications, we are expanding our digital footprint. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Video Editor to join our in-house team in Badlapur. If you have a sharp eye for storytelling and know how to keep audiences engaged across various platforms, we want you on our team.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Video Editor to handle end-to-end post-production for our digital channels. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging content ranging from bite-sized social media clips to full-length podcast episodes.
Key Responsibilities
- Short-Form Content: Edit highly engaging, fast-paced Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts optimized for modern attention spans and algorithmic trends.
- Long-Form Content: Edit full-length YouTube videos with proper pacing, B-roll integration, and narrative flow.
- Podcast Production: Sync multi-cam setups and audio for video podcasts, ensuring crisp sound and smooth visual transitions.
- Audio & Visual Polish: Perform basic color correction, color grading, audio noise reduction, and sound design.
- Graphics & Text: Add dynamic captions, lower thirds, basic motion graphics, and engaging visual effects to enhance retention.
- Asset Management: Organize, back up, and maintain a clean digital workspace for all video files and project assets.
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing Reels, Shorts, YouTube videos, and podcasts.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and familiarity with tools like Canva or Filmora.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, pacing, and what drives audience retention.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and deliver quick turnarounds when required.
- Availability: Must be comfortable working a 9 to 12-hour daily shift from our Badlapur office.
